Ammon News - Senate President, Faisal Fayez, condemned the brutal attack perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces against residents of Jenin camp on Thursday, killing 9 people so far, and injuring many citizens, some in critical condition.
In a statement on Thursday, Fayez called on the international community to support Palestinian people, urging Arab and international governments, parliaments, all human and legal institutions, and international community to assume legal and moral responsibilities to confront terrorist attacks against the Palestinian people.
He also called on halting Israeli army's racist practices and brutal massacres in Jenin and other occupied Palestinian territories, which come with the approval and support of the far-right Israeli government.
Valuing Palestinian people's struggle to defend their legitimate rights, he noted: " International community's silence on Israel's barbaric and racist practices, and its systematic killing and destruction against Palestinian people and Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian sanctities is a disgrace to humanity and war crimes that should not be tolerated."
Fayez added: "While condemning these Israeli terrorist and barbaric practices, the Senate affirms absolute support for all the efforts made by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in defending Palestinian cause and Palestinian people's right to freedom and independence."
In addition, he referred to His Majesty's continuous efforts to defy all Israeli measures and decisions, which target Palestinian people and aim to change Jerusalem's legal and historical status quo and harm its Islamic and Christian sanctities.
Fayez called for an "effective" Arab and international position, which would support the King's great efforts at all levels, in support of the Palestinian cause and people.
