Five families affected by Amman building collapse receive new homes

Ammon News - Five families who lost their homes when a condominium in the Lweibdeh neighborhood of downtown Amman collapsed in September of last year were given new homes on Thursday donated by His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Following the incident, which left 14 people dead and injured 9 others, His Majesty gave instructions to the government to fully care for the impacted families and to purchase new homes for them at his own expense.

Royal Court Chief Youssef Issawi handed the title deeds to the new homes to the families as he welcomed them in the Royal Court. Issawi, who is also chairman of a committee tasked with following on royal initiatives, visited one of the families in their new fully-furnished home.
