Large quantities of water were siphoned to fill tanks in order to sell them to citizens, a statement issued by the ministry said on Monday. Violations were reported along the main waterlines in the two areas, where the ministry cadres removed illegal fixtures. The statement urged the public to cooperate, especially throughout the critical water conditions experienced by the sector as a result of shortage. It also called on the public to report any incidents of tampering with water resources through the hotline 117116.

Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation organized a campaign in coordination with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), where several violations were detected against main waterlines in Rakeen and Rabbah areas, Karak governorate.
