JMD expects fair weather for two days

Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to hover around annual average, so moderate weather conditions will prevail in the highlands, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.

On Friday, mercury levels will rise few degrees, bringing relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, and hot weather in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Wednesday will range between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 19C or even 16C in the northern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 39C and a low of 28C.
