Ammon News - The Ministry of Labor decided to allow non-Jordanian workers who face deportation decisions after the period granted to rectify their status has ended.

The grace period decision included undocumented expats, who are currently still in the Kingdom, and are now allowed to obtain work permits, according to the ministry's procedures in force, according to a circular issued by the ministry on Sunday.

The ministry said the guest workers must regularise their status and pay work permit fees and fines for delays in issuing these permits.

The deadline for rectifying status of these non-Jordanian workers expires on Thursday, next September 1st, the ministry announced.
