Jordan Gross Domestic Product up 2.5pct in Q1 of 2022

Ammon News - Jordan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant market prices grew by 2.5 percent in quarter one of 2022, compared to the figure reported in the same period of 2021.

In a quarterly statistical report released Sunday, the Department of Statistics (DoS) said preliminary estimates showed that economic sectors rose in quarter one of the current year, compared to the same period of last year.

The hotels and restaurants sector came first with 6.8 percent, followed by the construction sector with 5.3 percent, the extractive industries sector with 5.1 percent, and the finance, insurance, and business services sector with 4.3 percent, according to figures.
