Ammon News - The Ministry of Health (MoH) Sunday said the 25th epidemiological week of 2022, which runs from June 18 to June 24, saw 842 Covid-19 cases, compared to 642 the last week, an increase of about 37%.
In its weekly roundup, the MoH said no COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the reporting period for the third week in a row.
The number of "PCR" tests conducted during the 25th week amounted to 13,127, compared to 11,694 tests during the previous week, with a 6.7% increase.
The number of COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in the Kingdom's hospitals reached 4, compared to 5 the previous week.
The number of Jordan's active cases reached 703, compared to 502 infects during the 24th week, a 39% increase.
Regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, the MoH added that the number of first jab recipients during the 25th week reached 3,323, compared to 3,219 during the previous week, while the second doses given hit 6,473 compared to 7,255.
More than 4,801,379 Jordanians received the first dose of the vaccine, constituting 75% of the target group of 18 and older; while the overall second dose reached 4,534,574, marking a 71% of the same target category, and the tally of the booster shot reached 665,539.
Regarding vaccination in the 12-17 age group, the MoH said the number of first dose recipients was 237,012, at a 25% rate, and double-jabbed people for the same category hit 200,124, at a 20% rate, while vaccination in the 5-11 age group with a first dose hit 262 and 188 others were double jabbed.
