According to a JTB statement on Tuesday, Minister of Tourism Nayef Fayez said the Board’s participation in this tourist exhibition came to promote Jordan as a distinct destination for cultural and religious enrichment. JTB Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiat stressed the importance of taking part in the event, which is one of the key meeting points for those interested in religious tourism in Jordan. "Jordan enjoys major keystones for marketing religious tourism, with direct flights available between the European Union (EU) and Jordan, in addition to low-cost airlines," he added. Jordan’s Ambassador to Spain, Areej Hawamdeh, hailed the JTB’s keenness to be part of the exhibition, which is considered an international tourist attraction.
