Ammon News - Temperatures on Monday are forecast to rise 6 to 7 degrees above their annual average, bringing dry and scorching weather in most regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Clouds will appear at high altitudes, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to occasionally brisk.

Hot weather will persist on Tuesday and Wednesday despite a slight drop in mercury levels, the JMD added.

Today, temperatures in Amman will range between a high of 36 degrees Celsius and a low of 19C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a blistering 40C, sliding to 24C during night hours.
