Army chief receives Vice Admiral of the US Naval Forces Central Command

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Wednesday, met with Vice Admiral of the United States Naval Forces Central Command, James Malloy and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the latest Aqaba Process round, Huneiti and Malloy discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination in joint military training, exchange of expertise and military exercises, and ways of boosting bilateral cooperation relations to serve the interests of the armed forces of the two countries.
The army chief held another meeting with the US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict (SO/LIC), Katrina Mulligan, and her accompanying delegation.
Huneiti and Mulligan discussed latest developments and challenges on regional and international arenas, aspects of cooperation and joint coordination, and ways to enhance bilateral ties.
The Aqaba Process initiative, launched by His Majesty in 2015, aims to enhance coordination and exchange of expertise and information among regional and international stakeholders to counter terrorism within a holistic approach.
