QAIA's aircraft movement down by 14% in February 2022-CARC

Ammon News - The Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA)'s inbound and outbound aircraft movements (ACM) dropped last February by 14 per cent, compared to the previous month, Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), said.

In a press statement to "Petra on Wednesday, Mesto said the QAIA handled a total of 3,978 ACMs in February 2022 and connected the Kingdom with 69 direct international destinations, with a growth rate of 127%, compared to 1,891 flights during February last year, and 5,682 for the same period in 2020.


The passenger traffic increased "significantly" in February, compared to the same month last year by 167%, as the number of arrivals and departures to the airport reached about 372,000, compared to 139, 000 travelers during February 2021, and 589,000 during the same month 2020.


The number of daily flights in February 2022 reached 142, compared to 150 ACMs during the previous month, while the number hit 203 and 67 during February 2020, 2021, respectively.
