Ammon News -

The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Monday said it referred two separate cases of electoral violations to the Public Prosecution, which involved, respectively, the use of black money, and making pie-in-the-sky promises that would affect the will of voters.

A day ahead of the municipal and governorates councils elections, the IEC indicated in a statement that it will not hesitate to enforce the law against all violators and those who plan to influence the will of voters.

The commission urged the public to call the toll-free number (117100) if they have any information or evidence of electoral violations. It also called for disregarding rumors, as well as ill-intentioned and unproven information to avoid legal accountability.
