Ammon News - Unstable weather conditions are forecast to prevail countrywide on Monday despite a slight rise in temperatures, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Scattered showers are expected in the southern and eastern regions, turning into heavy downpours with thunder and hail in some areas, with a chance for light snow over the northern highs.
The weather department warned of slippery roads in areas expecting rainfall, and of low visibility in Badia areas due to dust-raising winds.
Cold weather will continue to prevail on Tuesday in most regions, with cloudy skies and westerly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
On Wednesday, the Kingdom will be affected by a cold air mass accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus, which will bring rain and below average temperatures.
Mercury in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 12 degrees Celsius and a low of 0C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 23C, sliding to 10C at night.
