In implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, who heads a committee to follow up on the implementation of Royal initiatives, on Thursday announced a package of developmental initiatives in Zarqa Governorate.
The initiatives, which were announced during Issawi's meeting with a number of the central governorate's dignitaries and youth and women leaders, included the construction of 100 residential units for unprivileged families and establishment of a factory in Azraq district, provided with the necessary transport means, which will create 200-400 job opportunities.
In addition, the initiatives included construction of two new schools in the governorate's Al-Hashmiyah and Al-Dulayl districts and a project to rehabilitate the industrial city in Zarqa's Wadi Al-Esh area.
Speaking at the meeting, Issawi conveyed the King's greetings and appreciation to all the governorate's citizens, who are known for "their genuine national stances and their outstanding contributions to building Jordan."
Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, and with Jordanians' resolve, continues with confidence the march of construction, achievement, reform and development, Issawi told the governorate's figures.
Detailing the future steps, Issawi noted the Royal initiatives and projects, which were launched in the city, will be implemented according to a time plan and with close field follow-up from Royal Hashemite Court, in coordination with the relevant authorities, whether from the government or partners.
Issawi said this meeting comes under the King's direct directives, who is aware of the diverse challenges facing the governorate's people, adding that His Majesty always stresses the need to listen to their demands.
In tis regard, he said the King's directives also include action to meet their needs and launch development projects and programs, within the framework of Royal initiatives, to serve Zarqa city within the available capabilities.
