Ammon News -

Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs, Ibrahim Jazi, revealed that two violations, documented by the Audit Bureau in February, were referred to the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC).

Jazi said that one of the two violations, referred to the JIACC, involves people who obtained Covid-19 vaccine certificates without actually receiving the vaccine.

Jazi was speaking to the monthly meeting, held Tuesday at the Prime Ministry, in the presence of the Prime Ministry Secretary-General, Abdul Latif Najdawi, the Audit Bureau Secretary-General, Ibrahim Majali, and members of the team charged with reviewing documented cases at the Audit Bureau.

As for the second violation, it involves misdemeanors in granting rewards and appointments in a public university from the beginning of 2018 until the end of last year, indicating that other measures were taken to recover amounts spent without legal basis at the same university, Jazi explained

Jazi pointed out that the number of cases that were documented and reviewed in February amounted to 16 and a supervisory letter, and the necessary measures have been taken to fully rectifying them, including the two violations that were referred to the JIACC.

He added that the other cases are frequent and related to administrative and financial violations, such as transferring or promoting employees without entitlement, and disbursing sums of money, rewards and incentives without a right or legal basis, and necessary actions have been taken to recover these amounts.

He further explained that some cases relate to receiving bids despite being incomplete, disregarding the collection of sums owed to the treasury or enforcing effective decisions, issuing exemptions or disbursing expenses without presenting legal documents and increasing the quantities of fuel spent, as well as recording violations of the use of vehicles by some municipalities and government companies, and other violations.
