Jordan Customs Department wins e-Government Transformation Award

Ammon News - The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) on Monday won the e-Government Transformation Award granted by the King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence, ranking first among ministries, institutions and government departments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JCD Director General Jalal Qudah expressed the department’s pride in receiving this award, which comes within the department’s strategic plan of automating all customs procedures.

He added that the department always adopts “all that is new and developed”, especially in the digitisation and information technology fields, which is positively reflected on the auditors.

In the presence of the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh, the JCD received the award which comes in response to the Royal directives to provide easy government services to people, motivate government bodies to improve their electronic services, increase positive competition, establish a culture of electronic services, and advance the national electronic transformation project.
