Ammon News - A polar front is expected to affect the Kingdom on Tuesday, bringing occasional rain, with temperatures dipping 9-11 degrees below their annual average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
The polar front will also bring snow to areas 900 meters above sea level and higher, with limited accumulation and northwesterly brisk winds.
The weather department warned of slippery roads and low-visibility during rainfall due to dust in badia areas and fog in mountainous areas, and of frost formation at night in many areas.
Cold weather conditions will persist on Wednesday despite a slight rise in temperatures, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
Another rise in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, but remaining 4-6 degrees below annual average, with cold weather prevailing countrywide and clouds at low altitudes in the northern region.
Mercury in Amman today is forecast to reach a high of 6 degrees Celsius and a low of -2C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 17C, dipping to 8C during night hours.
