Ammon News -

The cabinet on Monday approved a draft law amending the Constitutional Court Law for 2022.

The amended draft law comes in implementation of the constitutional amendments to Articles (40), (60) and (61) of the Constitution, which are related to some provisions stipulated in the Constitutional Court Law.

The cabinet also approved mandating reasons for a draft law amending the law of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) for 2022, given that constitutional amendments according to which the IEC was granted the power to consider requests for the establishment of parties and follow up on their affairs in accordance with the provisions of the law, have entered into force.

Under the amendments, the IEC will be able to exercise these powers within a legal framework.

On the other hand, the Council of Ministers approved a number of draft laws covering the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), Jordanian Diplomatic Corps System, Provident and Cooperation Fund for Public Security Department (PSD) Personnel and Exchange Companies Licensing System.
