Ammon News - Five people were killed while nine others remain missing after a landslide hit a construction site in Bijie city, southwest China's Guizhou province, local authorities said Tuesday.

The Bijie's municipal authority stated that the tragic landslide happened about 7 p.m. on Monday. According to media reports, eight individuals have been rescued.

"Three of the rescued victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and are currently in stable condition, whereas the death of the other five was verified," the reports added.
