Ammon News - Jordan star Mousa Al Taamari scored the Nashama's goal against Argentina in the 55th minute of Sunday's FIFA World Cup match, becoming the first player to breach the reigning world champions' defense at the 2026 tournament.
It was Al Taamari's first-ever World Cup goal and Jordan's third of the tournament. The national team's opening goal was scored by Ali Alwan against Austria in their first match, while Nizar Al Rashdan found the net against Algeria in the second fixture. Al Taamari capped Jordan's World Cup campaign by scoring in the team's final match before exiting the tournament.
Argentina had also played three group-stage matches without conceding, keeping clean sheets against Algeria and Austria before Jordan became the first team to score against them at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
