PM says fight against terrorism and extremism will continue

26-10-2026 12:24 PM

Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan on Monday praised the security personnel who launched a precise security operation from the earliest moments following the terrorist attack in Karak to arrest the perpetrators and ensure they face justice.

In a post on his official "X" account, Hassan said the security operation had been carried out with a high degree of professionalism and through the exceptional efforts of the security agencies.

He stressed that this was not the end, adding that the fight against terrorism, extremism, extremist ideology and the Khawarij, as well as anyone who sympathizes with them, would continue.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this is primarily a battle of awareness and ideas, and that the Jordanian state would never show leniency in this regard, as it had pledged.

Hassan concluded his post by saying: "Mercy and eternal peace upon the martyrs, and a wretched fate awaits the criminals and terrorists."
