Ammon News - Human Rights Commissioner General, Aladdin Armouti, met with British Ambassador to Jordan, Bridget Brind, for a discussion on prospects for cooperation in the fields of human rights, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on human rights, especially the most vulnerable groups to abuse.

In the meeting, Armouti highlighted the center’s strategy during the next three years and work priorities, especially the path of developing the center’s material and human capabilities and potentials, and up-skilling its cadres in the areas of monitoring, investigation, field follow-up, and preparing research and reports in accordance with the highest professional and international standards.

The British envoy, in turn, lauded the center's role in monitoring and following up on the human rights situation and preparing reports on it, stressing the importance of preserving the independence of the center, helping the most vulnerable groups to abuse, and continuing to provide the necessary guarantees to achieve democracy and human rights.
