Ammon News - The Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, stated that Israel's ongoing inhumane attacks on Gaza are currently destabilizing the region and hindering peaceful efforts.

During the joint press conference in Barcelona with his Spanish counterpart, the EU's foreign and security policy representative, and the Secretary-General of the Union for the Mediterranean, he mentioned that Israel caused the deaths of over 43,000 individuals due to lack of international intervention, allowing a UN member state to commit war crimes and ignore the UN Charter.

Safadi highlighted that the Israeli Knesset has introduced two bills to stop UNRWA's operations, going against the international community's wishes. This needs a strong global response to safeguard Palestinian children from hunger and lack of schooling, as well as to uphold the credibility of the UN and global laws. The question remains if the world will let Israel shut down a group created by the international community and undermine the credibility of international humanitarian laws.

He added that Israel is still carrying out acts of aggression in northern Gaza, blocking access to food and medicine, demolishing hospitals, and causing the deaths of children. He emphasized that Israel's actions in northern Gaza amount to a genocide through the killing and starving of children, as well as the bombing of religious buildings. Furthermore, he mentioned Israel's actions in Lebanon without any repercussions from the Security Council. Safadi urged the European Union to intervene to halt the aggression, cease providing Israel with weapons, and implement sanctions against it.
