Jordan is placed 61st on the Rule of Law Index

Ammon News - Jordan was ranked 61st on the Rule of Law Index by the World Justice Program on October 23, 2024, with Denmark holding the top spot, followed by Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Germany.

Jordan was placed third among nine countries in the Middle East and North Africa region, following the United Arab Emirates in first place and Kuwait in second place, with countries like Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Iran also included in the ranking.

Jordan was also positioned as the runner-up among 38 countries with lower middle incomes.

According to the index, Jordan was one of 59 nations globally that improved in fighting corruption between 2023 and 2024.

The World Justice Program is an independent, non-partisan, multidisciplinary organization that aims to generate knowledge, raise awareness, and encourage action to promote the rule of law.
