Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Education Minister Tayseer Nuaimi said amending the Defense Order No. 7 of 2020, or any of its provisions, enables the ministry to continue working according to its content for the current school year 2021/2020, stressing that this does not mean that the current school year will be entirely via remote education.

Nuaimi told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the amendment was made to address impacts of developments in the epidemiological situation on education, when some schools are suspended and switched to e-learning.

That Defense Order 7 of 2020, issued by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on April 16, is concerned with organizing remote school and university education, vocational training and student evaluation mechanisms, which came for the last academic year 2019/2020 at the time.

Nuaimi explained that the amendment of the defense order is a continuation of the previous defense order that made non-traditional and remote education methods acceptable and approved in all government and private educational institutions in the Kingdom only in accordance with the provisions of the Education Law, indicating that the new mandate guarantees the application of these standards during the current school year.
