Hot, dry air mass affect Kingdom Wednesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom will be affected on Wednesday by a hot and dry air mass, bringing relatively hot weather conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) reported.
Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk at times, blowing dust in the Badia regions, the JMD said.
A slight rise in mercury levels is forecast on Thursday. Therefore, hot and dry weather will prevail nationwide with southwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the eastern regions, the department added.
On Friday, mercury levels will few degrees, creating normal summer conditions in the highlands and the plains, while it will remain hot in rest areas with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 35 degrees Celsius, dropping down at night to 23 and 24 degrees respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 41 degrees and lows sliding to 29, the JMD said.
