Maximum temperatures expected today in the capital, the northern and southern cities will hover around 32 degrees Celsius dropping down to 22, 21 and 19 degrees respectively at night. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba will highs reaching 42 degrees and lows standing at 31, the JMD added. A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, becoming 4-5 above their annual average and bringing relatively hot conditions in the mountainous areas, while it will be hot in the other regions with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD further added. Similar weather conditions will continue to prevail on Thursday with northwesterly moderate winds, the department noted.
