Temperatures to plunge for two days, return to average on Saturday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A tangible in mercury levels is expected on Thursday, creating partly cloudy to cloudy skies with showers during daytime in various parts of the Kingdom, while winds will be southwesterly brisk, blowing dust, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Heavy rain is forecast over the night, mainly in the northern and central regions with westerly moderate winds, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 15 degrees Celsius dropping down to 9 and 8 degrees respectively, while ranging between a high of 14 and a low of 5 in the southern governorates. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 27 and lows standing at 16 degrees at night, the JMD added.
Temperatures will further on Friday, so similar weather conditions will continue to prevail. Clouds will gradually decrease at night and winds will be northwesterly brisk to moderate, the JMD noted.
Mercury levels will rise again on Saturday, hovering around their annual average and creating moderate and spring- like weather across the country with high clouds, the JMD added further.
