The officials voiced their pride in the King's leadership on the day he took over the reigns to pursue the efforts of his the late King Hussein bin Talal. In the cables, they noted the national achievements under the King's leadership that turned Jordan into a modern country, an oasis of security and a role model in terms of stability and prosperity. They said as the country celebrates the occasion, Jordanians stand solidly behind their leadership in the national building and development process and in making the present and future of a strong Jordan. They hailed the King's efforts in defending Arab and Islamic causes at global forums and highlighting the true bright image of Islam as well as his leading role in the fight against terrorism. King Abdullah received cables from the prime minister, the parliament speakers, the heads of security agencies and other top-ranking officials.
