According to a press release, the family asked that the Jordanian government liaise with US authorities to ‘get to the bottom’ of this heinous crime. “For the sake of bringing justice to this case, Sara’s tribe demands that the perpetrators are found and brought to justice as quickly as possible,” the family said in a statement. The family states that Zghoul has no enemies in America, and that this was merely a brutal crime done out of spite. According to some sources, one man attempted suicide before he was detained by authorities on suspicion of being involved in the murder.
