King receives call from French President

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday received a phone call from the French President Emmanuel Macron, during which they discussed developments related to Jerusalem, in light of the United States President's plan to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
In the phone call, King Abdullah stressed that such decision will have serious repercussions on the security and stability of the region and undermine efforts to resume the peace process, confirming that Jerusalem's issue must be settled within a comprehensive solution that leads to the establishment of a Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living in peace and security alongside Israel.
King Abdullah also highlighted the importance of supporting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian National Authority to enable them establish an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, praising at the same time, Paris position towards achieving a just peace and stability in the Middle East.
His Majesty and President Macron agreed, during the phone call, to hold a close meeting in order to continue coordination on various current issues and developments.
