Rainfall channels 470K cubic meters of water into dams

Ammon News - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation said that the long-term annual average of rainfall rose to 1.6 percent of the annual average of 8.1 billion cubic meters by Tuesday morning.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted that this figure marks a slight decrease compared to the same date last year when rainfall had reached 2.1 percent of the long-term average.

Over the past 24 hours, 470,000 cubic meters of water entered the country's dams, bringing total dam storage to 57.3 million cubic meters. This represents 19.9 percent of the total dam capacity of 288.128 million cubic meters.

The southern Adasiya region in Balqa recorded the highest rainfall during this period, with 9.3 millimeters measured over 24 hours. Petra
