Ammon News - The Jordan Strategy Forum issued the "Knowledge is Power" report entitled "Social Capital in Jordan: Enhancing Trust to Achieve Development".

The report aimed to analyze data issued by the "Arab Barometer", according to the results of the latest survey 2023/24, and track the development of levels of trust among people within Jordanian society, and in state institutions, in addition to shedding light on the impressions of the Jordanian street on a number of economic and social issues.

The forum report indicated that Jordan's results in the latest Arab Barometer survey showed that levels of trust improved in all aspects compared to the previous survey.

According to the survey results, Jordanians' trust in the judiciary, government and House of Representatives increased, and their trust in others increased, and the percentage of those who feel satisfied with education and health care in Jordan increased significantly compared to the last survey.

The forum report stressed the importance of social capital (trust) within societies, as it is a fundamental factor in the success of government policies, programs and legislation that depend on citizens' cooperation and compliance with them, in addition to its importance in achieving good economic performance.

The Jordan Strategy Forum pointed out that implementing the initiatives of the Economic and Political Modernization Vision with the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap constitutes the focal point and the catalyst for all stakeholders to cooperate in the successful implementation of the initiatives contained therein, which will - in turn - enhance levels of trust in the government, the House of Representatives, and others. In this regard, the Forum urged everyone to view the national visions as a starting point for positive changes in the social economy and Jordanian society.
