King, Bahraini monarch hold talks on ties, region

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II and Bahrain's Monarch Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Tuesday held talks in Manama on the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and developments in the region.
During the talks, attended by top officials from the two countries, the leaders underscored the strong ties and expressed their keen interest in further enhancing cooperation in the various fields.
They also agreed to pursue coordination and consultation on the various regional issues and challenges "in a manner to institutionalize join Arab action and serve pan-Arab issues and common interests".
The discussion also tackled Middle East issues and endeavours to find solutions to them that restore security and stability to its peoples, in addition to the regional and international efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic strategy.
King Abdullah reiterated that Jordan stood by Bahrain in countering any threat to its security and stability, stressing that the security of Gulf Arab states is a key pillar of the region's security and stability and to face the challenges posed to them.
The Bahraini Monarch said he deeply appreciated Jordan's honourable stances toward the Kingdom of Bahrain and the key role King Abdullah had undertaken to serve Arab issues and enhance joint Arab action and cooperation as well as his relentless efforts toward achieving regional security and stability.
Attending the talks on the Jordanian side were the Royal Court Chief, the Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, the Director of the King's office and the Jordanian ambassador in Manama. Top Bahraini official, including Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Khalifah, personal representative of the King, also attended.
