In a session entitled "Differences among Cultures and Civilizations: Conflict or Integration?", Prince El-Hassan called for establishing a regional council for citizenship aimed at promoting the principles of cooperation and integration among the region's countries, pointing out in this regard that no single country can meet the major challenges.
His Highness said: "Our region is a living witness to the impossibility of achieving peace and security through military means alone." He called for empowering young people, not only in terms of creating jobs, but also in terms of the cultural and legal empowerment to address extremism and terrorism.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi inaugurated on Sunday the WYF at the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El Sheikh. The forum gathers over 3,200 young people from 113 states representing different parts of the world under the slogan of "We Need to Talk."
