Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian government, on Monday, voiced its full support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over terrorism that targets its safety and security, following two terrorist attacks took place near the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet's Mosque), in the city of Medina and in the eastern city of Qatif.
Minster of Stare for Media Affairs and the government's spokesman, Mohammad Al-Momani, expressed Jordan's strong condemnation of the terrorist and cowardly attacks.
Al-Momani said the heinous crime that targeted innocent worshipers from around the world in holy places as the Muslim world is preparing to celebrate the Eid Al Fitr proves once again that terrorism is blind and its evils target the Arab and Islamic nation.
He stressed the need for concerted Arab, Islamic and international efforts in the face of terrorism and the forces of darkness, which target innocents everywhere in the region and the world.
The minister expressed the Jordanian people and government's condolences to the Saudi King, government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
A suicide bomber detonated a bomb near the security headquarters of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, the second-holiest site in Islam, killing three suicide bombers and two security forces officers, while In Qatif, at least one and possibly two explosions struck near a Shi'ite mosque, killing the attacker, according to Reuters.
