Jordanian forces kill 7 extremists, end operations in Irbid

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian forces killed seven extremists during security operations in the city of Irbid, said a news source Wednesday Two Jordanian citizens, who happened to be in the area of operations,
were injured and a security personnel was killed in the northern Jordanian city.

Deadly clashes erupted on Tuesday between Jordanian security forces and extremists in the northern Jordanian
city. The force had raided a number of locations to apprehend suspected extremists, leading to the clashes.

One Jordanian police officer Rashid Al-Zyoud was killed in the operation, which two security sources said targeted mainly members of the Islamic State group.
