Prime Minister meets Qatari justice minister

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, on Sunday, received Qatar's Minister of Justice, Hassan Al Mohannadi, in the presence of Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni and Qatari Ambassador to Jordan Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah.

The prime minister praised the Jordanian-Qatari relations and stressed Jordan's willingness to promote mutual cooperation with the Gulf Arab state in all fields.

Ensour referred to broad ways for closer judicial cooperation and related legislation, stressing the need to benefit from the experience of each country in this field, adding that Jordan would place its resources in this field for the service of "the Qatari brothers".

The Qatari minister praised Jordan's judicial expertise, noting that Qatar had benefited from the experience of judges, who had their contributions to the development of Qatar's judicial system.

The premier was briefed by the two countries' Ministers of Justice about a memorandum of understanding that was signed today for the exchange of legal expertise, data and administrative matters as well as organizing seminars and training in the legal field.

The Qatari minister is set to visit the Cassation Court, the Judicial Council and the Palace of Justice to oversee the development Jordan is witnessing in the judicial field.
