Prime minister tours Southern Ghor region

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and his ministerial team on Thrusday toured the Southern Ghor region, for a first-hand look at the service and developmental projects currently under construction there.

During his meeting with dignitaries and local citizens, Ensour praised His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership and wisdom which steered Jordan clear of the regional turmoil.

Ensour added that he and his 10-minister team aimed at meeting with Jordanians in their locations and to reiterate the government's keenness to provide them with their needs.

The premier visited the Wadi bin Hammad Dam, where he was briefed on the importance of the project to protect the region from flashfloods and provide it with irrigation water.

Ensour also thanked the Arab Potash Company and Jordan Bromine Company for their contributions to the local community, which emerge from the companies social corporate responsibility.

Further, the prime minister inspected several projects in the infrastructure, educational, health and other fields, where he underlined the importance of these projects in providing services to local citizens.
