Army denies military document circulated by social media

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - An official spokesman of the Jordan Armed Forces denied as "inaccurate" a military document being circulated on social media platforms and includes incorrect military data.

Colonel Mamdouh al-Amiri, the official spokesman of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, said the data in the document is about a mock scenario drill which is part of the Eager Lion Military Exercises currently taking place in the Kingdom.

Al-Amiri said there are clear ways to deliver information whether for units and formations of the armed forces or to the media about any developments in a timely manner.

He added the JAF appreciates citizen's awareness and urged them to shun rumors and to be careful about disseminating information from unofficial sources, and avoid publishing misleading or tendentious news.
