Ammon News - AMMAN The State's Security Court SSC on Saturday denied reports that it's public prosecutor has ordered the arrest of journalists Nidal al-Fara'anah and Amjad al-Mu'ala.

Director of Military Judiciary and Attorney General of the SSC, Brigadier Muhannad Hijazi dismissed such reports and said they are unfounded, adding that the case has not been referred to the SSC.

Hijazi slammed what he described as a campaign against the SSC and its judges at this stage, saying the court's judges are keen to enforce the provisions of law and maintain justice.

He said: "We are aware that Press and Publications Law crimes are not under the jurisdiction of the State Security Court," adding the court abides by His Majesty the King's vision that it is not permissible to arrest people under press and publication-related cases. (Petra)
