Prince Ghazi, Mired Condole the passing of Sheikh Noah Qudah

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Rakan Qadah - Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad and Prince Mired Bin Ra'ad on Monday visited Ras Munif in Ajloun and offered condolences over the passing away of Jordan's former grand Mufti, Dr. Sheikh Noah Qudah, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 71.

A large number of national figures also visited to offer condolences, including Prime Minister Samir Rifai, House Speaker Faisal Al Fayez, Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mesha'al Al Zaben, Deputy Premier Minister of Education Dr. Khaled Al Karaki, Minister of Interior Sa'ad Hayel Srour, Gendarmerie Chief Tawfiq Tawalbeh and Director of the Civil Defense Department Talal Kofahi.

A number of former ministers, in addition to deputies, senators, and senior army and military officials, diplomats and political party officials also offered their condolences to Al Qudah tribe in Ajloun.


Qudah was laid to rest in Ras Munif in Ajloun Governorate on Sunday. Thousands of Jordanians took part in the funeral.

Born in Ain Jana in Ajloun in 1939, Sheikh Qudah was appointed as grand mufti in 2007. He assumed several posts, including chief Islamic justice and the Kingdom’s ambassador to Iran.
