Ammon News - A new team from the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/8 has arrived in the Gaza Strip, ready to take up the humanitarian mission of providing critical medical care and relief to thousands of Palestinians affected by the ongoing crisis.

The deployment marks the latest chapter in Jordan’s humanitarian efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to stand by the people of Gaza and ease their suffering amid dire conditions.

As soon as the convoy reached the mission site, doctors, nurses, and administrators set to work, preparing clinics, equipping operating rooms, and activating emergency plans to receive patients within days. The team aims to deliver world-class medical care with speed, precision, and compassion.

The hospital’s staff includes specialists in general and vascular surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and intensive care, along with a mobile prosthetic limb unit that will help restore mobility and independence to amputees.

Their predecessors at the South Gaza/7 hospital treated over 61,000 patients, performed nearly 3,000 surgeries, and fitted 105 prosthetic limbs. Under Jordan’s "Restoring Hope" initiative, the total number of artificial limbs provided to Gaza patients has now reached 637.

Meanwhile, the outgoing teams from both the northern and southern field hospitals returned to Jordan on Wednesday evening after completing their missions. They were greeted by senior military officials who praised their dedication and professionalism.
