FIFA President Gianni Infantino has expressed his pride and gratitude toward the Jordan national football team during a visit ahead of their final group match against Argentina in Dallas, United States.

During his meeting with the players and coaching staff, alongside His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, Infantino praised the team’s achievement in becoming the first Jordanian side to participate in a FIFA World Cup.

In a post on his official Instagram account, Infantino described the players as an inspiration to so many back home and a reference point for children to achieve their dreams.

The FIFA President also highlighted the symbolic cultural moment of receiving the traditional Jordanian Shemagh Mhadab, deeply tied to Jordan’s rich cultural heritage

Good luck for tomorrow’s game and we hope to have you back on this stage soon, he added.
