Exports from Jordan to Arab nations grew by 13.2%

Ammon News - Statistics from the Department indicated that Jordanian exports to Arab nations and the European Union rose in the initial eight months of this year in comparison to the corresponding period in the previous year.
Based on the information provided, Jordanian exports to Arab nations, particularly those within the Greater Arab Free Trade Area like Saudi Arabia, grew by 13.2% from January to August, reaching 2.297 billion dinars. At the same time, exports to European Union countries went up by 2.2% to 282 million dinars.
Based on the Department of Statistics data, total exports, national exports, and re-exports saw increases, while imports also rose and the trade balance deficit decreased during the first eight months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. Regarding values, he clarified that the total exports in the first eight months of 2024 were valued at 6,228 million dinars, with national exports at 5,644 million dinars, re-exports at 584 million dinars, and imports at 12,457 million dinars within the same timeframe.
