Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh said that the world must unite to reach a sustainable ceasefire and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

During his participation in a dialogue session at the Davos Forum in Riyadh, Khasawneh added: "It seems that we are falling into a trap by following narrow-minded politicians, and this is disastrous, because the matter today is related to the calculations of some politicians in Israel at the expense of the security of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and the Arabs."

"We saw what happened between Iran and Israel weeks ago, which fortunately did not lead to the escalation that we were warning about," Khasawneh stated.

He also pointed out that the destruction that befell the Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli attack was estimated at $18.7 billion, which in itself is terrible, in addition to the complete destruction of the health and educational infrastructure.

The attack on Rafah would be a disaster by all standards, he noted.

This problem did not start on October 7 and is the result of 70 years of Israeli occupation and the refusal to recognize Palestinian rights and a Palestinian state, the Prime Minister said.

He pointed out that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict must end with a two-state solution.

We in Jordan warn against Israel creating conditions that would lead to the voluntary or forced displacement of Palestinians, whether from the West Bank or the Gaza Strip, out of Palestine, he indicated, adding that: "This is a red line and we will not accept it at all, because it constitutes a material violation of the peace agreement and is an attempt to liquidate the Palestinian issue.
