Ammon News - Secretary-General of the Health Ministry, Raed Shboul, said that the number of cases of poisoning after eating poisonous wild mushrooms reached 45.

Shboul told Amen FM on Wednesday that the cases are distributed between Balqa and Irbid.

He pointed out that Irbid Governorate recorded 40 cases of poisoning, while 5 cases in Balqa as a result of eating wild mushrooms spread around their homes, calling on citizens not to take any natural mushrooms due to the difficulty of distinguishing whether they are poisonous or not.

All cases had been discharged from hospitals, except for the case of an 83-year-old elderly man, Shboul added.
