Ammon News -

Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority's Board of Commissioners (TRC), Bassam Sarhan, said that the jamming with the Global Positioning System (GPS) in Jordan has decreased significantly in the recent period and will not be repeated.

Sarhan confirmed that the jamming actually began with the entry of the Ukrainian-Russian war, but it did not significantly affect Jordanian citizens, even though the TRC monitored it.

The Jordanians have begun to actually feel the impact of interference in conjunction with the Iranian strikes with drones and missiles, he added.

He also noted that the Commission monitored the countries responsible for jamming GPS in Jordan, and addressed them in accordance with the recognized international protocol in such cases.
