Ammon News - The UAE has evacuated by air from Sudan 178 people from seven countries, Emirates News Agency reported on Sunday.

The plane arrived in the UAE on Sunday afternoon carrying the sick, children, the elderly and women. This included a Sudanese child who was injured in the ongoing clashes and was taken to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the evacuation operation was part of the country’s humanitarian efforts and commitment to boosting global cooperation and solidarity.

The ministry stated that it was important to ensure much-needed political stability and security in Sudan, including a ceasefire and a return to dialogue.
