Ammon News - Temperatures are expected to rise a few degrees on Wednesday, bringing moderate weather conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba where it will be warm, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Thursday will see a further increase in mercury levels. Therefore, it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, and warm in other regions, with southeasterly moderate to active winds, blowing dust in the Badia, the JMD added.
Temperatures will continue to rise on Friday, becoming 7-8 degrees above their annual average and triggering dry, dusty, and relatively hot conditions in much of the country, with clouds at various altitudes. Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly brisk, stirring up dust in many areas and causing poor horizontal visibility.
Today, the highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 14C or even 13C in the southern highlands.
In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 34C and a low of 23C.
